The top of the hat features a fitted, faux leather, crown. On the front and back of the crown are wide sections of faux fur. On either side are flip down, faux fur, ear warmer, flaps. These are styled like the ear warmer flaps on trapper caps. The ear flaps have a faux leather strap with brass snaps so the flaps can be flipped up and the straps snapped in place on top of the crown. The hat is lined in a black, quilted, fabric so it’s very warm.My family has large heads and hats are usually a problem for us. This hat fit all but one of us, which was a pleasant surprise. The flap straps can be snapped into a tighter position but I think this hat will be too large for people with small heads.I must say that it doesn’t look quite as lush and full as in the pictures on the product page but it’s still a great looking hat. I think it will be quite striking this winter and look forward to wearing it.
